Greene County Chapter

The Greene County Association of School Retirees [GCASR], is a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees [PASR] with 250 local members that includes retired teachers, administrators, secretaries, aides, custodians, and cafeteria workers.

This year, 2017, the 80th anniversary year of PASR, the Greene County Association is presenting for the first time - six [6] $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors who are furthering their education at an institution of higher learning. They are given to one graduating senior from each of the Greene County high schools plus the Greene County Career and Technology Center. GCASR member, Alice Souders is the chair person  of the scholarship committee.

Carmichaels Area Senior High School recipient, Caitlyn Ricco, receiving the GCASR $1000 scholarship award from GCASR member Wilma Tuttle. 

Jefferson-Morgan High School recipient, Eva Humphries, receiving the $1000 scholarship award from GCASR in-coming scholarship chair person, Sandy Whetsell.

West Greene High School recipient, Hannah Reed, receiving the  $1000 scholarship award from GCASR president, Myleen McCollum.


Mapletown Junior/Senior High School recipient, Cora Goforth, receiving the $1000 scholarship award from GCASR member, Lori Greene.
