   We will present to the Cambria County Commissioners  a “mock check” in an amount equilvalent to the total number of Volunteer Hours completed by our members.
   This will signify our continued commitment to our organizational mission…“to serve others in need and help one another enjoyment retirement.”

PASR in Action

Chapter and Member Activities

Members meet in the spring and fall for lunch and programs and in July for Social Picnic

Our Chapter awards an education professional and a support person from our coverage area with the annual Loretta Woodsen Award for outstanding service to education

We recognize a member for his/her community involvment with the annual Volunteer of the Year Award

Select a chapter member to receive the John Dillon Service Award for outstanding service to the Association

We offer numerous programs to benefit our members, especially our senior members

We encourage members to offer their time and talents to local community programs

We honor deceased members with contributions to the PASR Honor Fund and with an annual Memorial Service that is conducted in the spring

We send cards and letters and make visits to members in nursing homes or hospitals

We send cards to homebound members on their birthday and at various holidays to let then know we haven't forgotten them

We particiapte in collecting "Books for Tots", food for the local Food Pantry, and magaziness and books for local Veterans' Homes, Gifts for disadvantaged children at Christmas

Organize day bus trips to historical sites, plays, shopping malls and casinos
