Judy Schaffer Chapter President's Message

PASR Mission: To serve others in need and help one another enjoy retirement.

Welcome to the Alle-Kiski Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR) chartered on March 15, 2002. Our meetings are held in various locations north of Pittsburgh within Allegheny, Armstrong and Westmoreland Counties.
Our local chapter is an active organization consisting of retirees from seven neighboring districts – Apollo-Ridge, Burrell, Freeport, Highlands, Kiski Area, Leechburg and New Kensington-Arnold. We are former administrators, teachers and support personnel.
We provide our members educational and social opportunities through our two yearly General Membership Meetings, an annual December Party and a Summer Picnic. We also have a Recreo Group referred to as “The Day Trippers” that provides opportunities for several one day trips each year for the membership and guests.
Our members are kept informed twice yearly via our Chapter Newsletter (Alle-Kiski PASR News), e-mail blasts on items pertaining to “Retiree Issues” and our official website.
An informed member is an active member!
In addition to being active volunteers in our local communities, in 2016 the Alle-Kiski Chapter began providing an educational support grant for a worthy project sponsored by an active education employee. In 2018 our chapter will begin offering seven such grants (one to each of our local school districts in our chapter.)
We support the programs of PASR, our state organization with headquarters located in Mechanicsburg, PA. This group works tirelessly for the benefit of public school retirees through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We have members who have served as Region 6 and state committee chairpersons and officers.
Alle-Kiski Chapter is seeking retirees to join our local organization. Guests are always welcome at any of our functions. We provide good programs, good food, and opportunities to make new friends in easily accessible locations. Use the contact information listed below to get information about our unique chapter.
