The Chaper sponsored a Wine & Cheese Social on Thursday,
April 30, 2008 from 2-4:30 PM at the Hamilton Family Restaurant
in Allentown PA
Invitations were sent to all 2007-2008 new retirees by the event
organizers under the leadership of Gail Edelman, Financial Secretary
in charge of membership. The agenda included a discussion of current
concerns of attendees and a request for assistance in securing
the names of the fall 2007 and spring 2008 retirees from all the
Lehigh County public schools. There was also a presentation of
volunteer opportunities in Lehigh Chapter with a review of all
the standing committees and the services to members provided by
each committee.
Attendees were also given the opportunity to register for the
Post-Retirement Seminar to be sponored jointly by Lehigh Chapter
and PASR on May 29, 2008. The event closed with a drawing for
five door prizes.
It was a very successful event with lively conversation, positive
interaction, and great wine and dessert!
