Welcome to the Region III website…a site where we not only keep
members informed but also give visitors to the site information about
PASR. In case you are not aware, PASR is the only retirement organization
for all school retirees.
Region III includes twelve counties in Pennsylvania and is part of
the regionally organized state organization. Within our region we
have 9 local chapters who would welcome any school retiree. As you
probably noticed, numerous websites can be accessed through links
listed on our web page.
As we start 2008, our state membership includes nearly 40,000 members
who are dedicated to sharing time, talent, and experience to our membership
and other volunteer organizations within our local communities. Our
state organization not only oversees all local chapter and regional
activities but also provides leadership to create legislation that
relates to retiree issues such as COLAs, health care and elder care.
Let me invite you, as one school retiree to another to come to some
of our events to find out what we are really about and witness the
camaraderie and fellowship we enjoy as we band together to promote
our common interests. We are, as you will learn, PASR PROUD.
