What is L-PEC

L-PEC is the group of PASR volunteers who solicit voluntary contributions from members for a fund to support our legislative efforts. These funds are used to provide our grass roots Legislative Committees at the local, regional, nd state levels with the materials they need to advance our Association's legilative agenda.

We do not use these funds to endorse or support political candidates or political parties. PASR is non-partisan. But we do use these funds to support our efforts to affect legislation. The following are examples of how L-PEC funds have been used recently:

- L-PEC funds paid for a workshop for all our chapter and region Legislative Chairmen showing them how to better communicate with our state legislators.

- L-PEC funds paid for publishing a booklet listing names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. of Pennsylvania Lawmakers and other government officials.

- L-PEC funds have paid printing and postage expenses for literature that was sent to all our legislative contact volunteers at our grass roots organizations. This type of material was very important when we were working to have our last COLA bill passed and continues to be important for accomplishing our current legislative agenda.

Here is how you can help accomplish our legislative goals!

Thank you for your support!
