Lehigh County Chapter Awards

GERRY WELSH 2007 LEHIGH CHAPTER/PASR COMMENDATION CERTIFICATE RECIPIENT Gerry always exhibited a deep concern for the well-being of others. She listened, always anxious to hear new ideas to help cheer Lehigh Chapter members. She encouraged the SSMHF Committee members to share their ideas to improve the committee's work and then stepped back to let others take charge. Under her leadership, the committee members took responsibility for carrying out their duties and did so with pride. When interviewed, Gerry adamantly proclaimed, “I LOVE PASR!” And, Gerry, we LOVE you for all the kindnesses extended to our members then, now, and always.

SALVATORE GAMBONE - LEHIGH CHAPTER 2007 JOHN DILLON AWARD RECIPIENT Salvatore Gambone, loyal member of Lehigh Chapter and PASR, has been an outstanding example of devotion and commitment to the ongoing success of Lehigh Chapter. Soon after his retirement in 1986, Sal responded to a call for help with the mailing of the newsletter. That was his introduction to the workings of the chapter. Gratefully, he still enjoys serving on the Mailing Committee. Through the years, Sal served as secretary, vice-president, president, and parliamentarian. He considers it his privilege and pleasure to have contributed in all those roles. We highly commend Sal for his courage, compassion, and commitment to serve the membership of Lehigh Chapter. We feel honored to have him as a member and still call on him for advice as we have learned to trust his wisdom. Sal is always ready to step in and help where needed. He is truly an exemplary role model for us all.
