Our Chapter provides two scholarships each year to local students seeking to pursue a career in Education. Likewise, volunteers with PASR's Educational Support Foundation, Inc. administer a statewide scholarship program, recognize outstanding educators and school support professionals, and raise and allocate funds to help finance innovative educational programs being developed in ourpublic schools.

Spring 2008 Scholarship Winners
At our Summer Luncheon on June 5, our chapter presented $600 scholarships to two students from Wilkes University who are currently enrolled in education courses for the purpose of becoming teachers. This year’s recipients are Wilkes University junior education majors Shelly Hydock (on the left) and Christine Galella.

 

2008 Lauetta Woodson Award Winners

The 2008 Lauretta Woodson Award winners were staff members from the Wyoming Area School District. Awardees were Michael Podwika, teacher (pictured above) and John Bodusky support staff (no picture available).
