Northwestern Region

Welcome to Northwestern Region 9 and our four chapters. We are all nestled in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains along the Allegheny River, the shore of Lake Erie. As chapter members we are involved in many activities to improve the lives of all public school retirees by working on COLAs, visiting our members in nursing homes, assisted living, and those who are shut in. Our chapter luncheons and planned trips are fun, informative, and provide the opportunity for you to socialize with your former friends and coworkers. Each chapter is also actively involved in many community volunteer projects. Recruiting public school retirees and others who have an interest in public education is important to our Association's survival. Please take a moment to approach a retired nonmember, explain the benefits of belonging, ask for a personal check for their dues, and complete their membership application to the state Association. It's easy, more personal, and most of all, it works.
