2007 PASR Meetings Schedule

The over 800 members of the Cumberland County Chapter of PASR. welcome you to our website and we invite you to join us. We are an active group of volunteers who, believing in the motto "it is better to serve than to be served", provide services to our community, to the schools in which we worked, and to our fellow members.

We are proud of what we do for our fellow retirees who are homebound or in nursing homes. And we are equally proud of the $1,000 scholarships we provide to local students towards a career in education. Come, join us in our work! You'll be glad you did.

We invite you to look over our list of upcoming events and if there is something there of interest to you please call any of the officers listed below for more information.

PASR is over 41,000 members strong - are you with us?

Cumberland County

Cumberland County stretches for forty-two miles through the picturesque Cumberland Valley of Pennsylvania.  Bordered on the east by the winding Susquehanna River and on the west by the Borough of Shippensburg this scenic region has been a crossroads for travel throughout its existence.  The Indians and fur traders used it as a major thoroughfare.  Today's tourists and travelers use the same route, utilizing the three major highways that intersect the county: Interstates 83 and 81, as well as the Pennsylvania Turnpike.  With today's transportation system, Cumberland County lies minutes from Hershey and Lancaster in the famous Pennsylvania Dutch region of the state and is equally close to Historic Gettysburg and Harrisburg.

We invite you to come visit us - it is a beautiful part of our Commonwealth.
