Reports on two successful Chapter Projects
Project #1: In the past year Delaware Coounty Chapter of PASR contributed over $500 dollars to the food bankfor the needy in the city of Chester. This effort is part of the community service program sponsored by the chapter. Food was greatly appreciated especially at the time of the holidays.
Project #2: Our local PASR Chapter recently honored Dr.Paul Miller of Aston for his services over the past years to the youth of the County as chairman of the Scholarship program. The first scholarship awarded by our chapter in 1995 was for $1,000. Since that time sixty one thousand dollars in scholarships have been given to students of Delaware County by our chapter. All of this was accomplished through the efforts of Dr Miller who contacted Superintendents, principals, and teachers in Delaware County concerning the scholarships available to students interested in entering teaching profession. He then arranged to have the scholarships prepared and presented to the selected recipients. We are proud of our scholarship program and we thank Dr. Miller for all he has done to create and sustain the program.
